A teaching free welding robot equipped with "eyes", capable of accommodating up to 4 welders per unit; The brazing robot solves the welding difficulties of non-standard equipment with high technical difficulty; 3D vision technology enables robots' "eyes" to see more accurately... The 2024 World Robot Competition Finals will be held in Zhengzhou, Henan. On January 6th, reporters visited some robot research and development institutions in Zhengzhou High tech Zone to experience the changes that robots have brought to industrial production.
At the Qingzhi (Zhengzhou) Robot Innovation Center exhibition hall, the "eyes" of a non teaching welding robot are flashing, simulating welding operations.
After one click activation of the robot, its' eyes' can automatically locate and take photos to find welding seams, and form a three-dimensional working diagram on the computer for easy manual verification, "said Wang Wenhai, the general manager of the center. The working efficiency of the robot can reach up to 4 welders, and one technician can operate 6 robots at the same time, which can greatly improve production efficiency and reduce production costs.
The sales manager of the center, Cheng Hu, stated that intelligent welding robots solve the current shortage of welding workers and have broad application prospects.
At present, the laboratory is not only committed to updating brazing equipment, but also focuses on the research and development of intelligent brazing materials that match it, "said Qin Jian, deputy director of the laboratory. For non-standard equipment with high technical difficulties, such as automated brazing equipment for shield tunneling tools, the laboratory has successfully developed the first set of equipment in China, which is currently being applied in Xinxiang, Henan.
Like humans, "eyes" are also a very important component for robots. The 3D vision technology of Henan Elson Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. equips robots with sharp "eyes", allowing them to "see" more accurately and meticulously, thus completing predetermined instructions.
According to Lian Xiaojuan, the marketing manager of the company, robots equipped with 3D vision sensors and system software can help users get rid of tedious robot teaching, avoid occupying online production pace, and achieve efficient and flexible manufacturing. At present, the company's products are widely used in domestic and foreign markets, and thousands of sets of 3D vision products have been delivered and exported to countries and regions such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Germany.
Robots are known as the "crown jewel at the top of the manufacturing industry". Currently, robots are closely related to human production and life. With industrial and innovation advantages, a number of application-oriented robot enterprises are constantly emerging in Zhengzhou High tech Zone.
According to the relevant person in charge of Zhengzhou High tech Zone, the zone is accelerating the construction of an intelligent robot industry cluster and focusing on promoting the deep integration of artificial intelligence technology and robots, enhancing the intelligence level of robot products in sensing, interaction, control, collaboration, and other aspects; Further utilize technologies such as machine vision, human-machine collaboration, and multimodal interaction to promote the demonstration application of industrial robots and intelligent manufacturing technology in key production scenarios such as high-intensity, high cleanliness, and high-risk areas.
The World Robot Competition is hosted by the Chinese Society of Electronics, and from January 16th to 21st, the 2024 World Robot Competition Finals will kick off in Zhengzhou High tech Zone.
