Regarding the Risks in the Working Process of Welding Robots

1‌. End arc pit problem: During the welding process, an arc pit may form at the end of the weld after cooling. This can be solved by adding a buried arc pit function during programming.

Welding deviation problem: Since the trajectory of the welding robot is completed through machine teaching, if the armor position of the workpiece is not offset, it may be caused by the welding robot. This is usually caused by inaccurate TCP coordinate definitions or deviations in coordinate system calibration. The solution to this problem is to recalibrate the working coordinate system of the welding robot.
3‌. Biting phenomenon: This may be caused by improper parameter settings of the welding machine or a mismatch in the position, angle, and distance between the welding gun and the weld seam. By adjusting these parameters reasonably, the phenomenon of undercutting can be avoided.
4. Pore problem: It may be caused by poor gas protection or too thick primer on the workpiece. Adjusting the dryness of the protective gas and the surface treatment of the workpiece can solve this problem.
5. Excessive splashing problem: This may be caused by improper selection of welding machine parameters or excessive elongation of welding wire. Adjusting the welding machine parameters and gas ratio appropriately can solve this problem.
To reduce these risks, the following measures can be taken:
Re calibrate the coordinate system: Ensure that the working coordinate system of the welding robot is accurate and error free, avoiding welding deviations caused by inaccurate coordinate definitions.
Reasonably adjust welding machine parameters: Based on specific welding requirements, set welding machine parameters reasonably to avoid welding problems caused by improper parameter settings.
Use appropriate ventilation equipment: During the welding process, use ventilation equipment to maintain good ventilation in the workplace and reduce the accumulation of harmful gases.
Wear protective equipment: Operators should wear appropriate protective equipment such as gas masks, earplugs, and anti vibration gloves to protect their own safety.
