When performing polishing tasks, polishing robots are equipped with a series of peripheral devices and end tools, which play a crucial role in their performance and processing effect. Here are some common peripheral devices and end tools for polishing robots:
1. End effector (polishing tool):
○ Polishing head: Select different types of polishing heads according to different materials and process requirements, such as pneumatic polishing heads, electric polishing heads, ultrasonic polishing heads, etc.
Polishing disc: suitable for fine polishing operations, with a variety of materials such as wool wheels, sponge wheels, ceramic discs, resin discs, etc.
Sand belt machine: Use sand belts to polish or polish the surface of workpieces over a large area.
Laser/water jet/electrochemical and other special polishing tools: non-contact polishing methods for specific materials or process requirements.
2. Force control unit:
Hengli floating device: ensures constant pressure is applied to the workpiece during the polishing process to prevent quality problems caused by excessive or insufficient pressure.
○ Torque sensor: Real time measurement of force and torque when the end effector of the robot comes into contact with the workpiece, providing force control basis for the robot.
3. Sensors and detection equipment:
Visual system: including cameras, 3D cameras, etc., used for workpiece recognition, positioning, and surface defect detection.
Contact sensors: such as inductive, capacitive, or piezoelectric sensors, used to detect the surface contour and polishing status of workpieces.
○ Temperature sensor: monitors the temperature generated during the polishing process to prevent overheating and damage to the workpiece or equipment.
4. Dust removal and environmental protection equipment:
○ Vacuum system: Install industrial vacuum cleaners or central vacuum systems to promptly remove dust generated during the polishing process, ensuring a healthy and safe working environment.
○ Sound insulation facilities: For situations with high polishing noise, sound insulation covers or other noise reduction equipment may be installed.
5. Peripheral auxiliary devices:
○ Workpiece fixture: Securely fix the workpiece to be polished, ensuring a stable and reliable machining process.
○ Fixture Replacement System: When dealing with workpieces of different specifications or shapes, quickly replace the corresponding fixtures and positioning systems.
Through the reasonable configuration and use of the above-mentioned peripheral devices and end tools, the polishing robot can achieve more efficient, accurate, and environmentally friendly automated polishing operations.
